Landing Pages, Advertorials, And Ads

I am now a staff writer for the Big Money Methods newsletter. Read any posts under my name (Sean Ahern) to get a sense of my long form article style.

(One of my favorite scenes from Spongebob)

Below is an example of a landing page that I both wrote and designed in Wix for a jewelry direct retailer in Malaysia. This is a landing page specifically for those shopping for engagement rings. The objective was to position them as affordable (because they cut out the middleman) but also high end luxury without it sounding like an oxymoron.

These are the ads for JDF that I both wrote and designed

The following is a landing page that I both wrote and built using Carrd.co for a real estate agent. He needed to portray his unique method of selling homes with a catchy name and service positioning.

Below is an example of a landing page that I both wrote and designed in Wordpress for a resume writing agency client. The goal was to target executives applying for c-suite positions.

Below is another landing page that I both wrote and designed for a client. This was done in the Wordpress basic editor, so it was a bit of a challenge from a design flexibility point. But I was mainly concerned with getting Doctor Georgios’s message across.

Mala Of Merit

A woman left a testimonial on Mala Of Merit’s website describing her experience with their meditation beads as “a beautiful way to meditate”, which of course is the perfect slogan.

It encapsulates the extremely fine quality and solidity of the beads, as well as how it enhances the meditation experience. So, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. That’s what became the headline in the ad image below.

How I Saved My House From Burning Down With A Blanket

ADVERTORIAL

I’d never guess in a million years that a piece of bacon would almost cost me my HOUSE.

Or that a BLANKET of all things would end up saving my LIFE.

But it’s true. And although it’s a little embarrassing, I’ll still tell you this quick story because it could end up saving your life too.

Hi, I’m Jeff, and I’m the proud winner of the “dummy of the year” award (according to my father).

It was 10 AM on a Sunday morning, and I was feeling pretty groggy from my buddy’s birthday party the previous night.

So I decided to whip up the breakfast of champions: eggs and bacon, or what my idol Ron Swanson refers to as “ALL the eggs and bacon”.

However I would soon learn that frying too much bacon in a pan could have some pretty dire consequences.

I grabbed ALL the bacon in the pack (don’t judge me, I was hungry) and triumphantly threw it on the frying pan.

And here’s where things started to go downhill.

I was frying the bacon and standing guard, but mind you, I was still a little “out of it” to say the least.

Ok, I was half asleep.

So, I got distracted, and before I knew it, there was smoke. A LOT of smoke.

The grease had actually caught FIRE.

I started panicking…Especially when the flames got bigger and started actually trickling near my wooden cabinets. I had maybe 10 seconds before the fire would’ve gotten out of my control…

From Delicious To Deadly

The first thing I almost tried would’ve been the STUPIDEST thing in the world.

I almost poured water all over the fire, which would’ve made everything WAY worse.

Thank GOD I realized in time not to do that, and thought to grab the fire extinguisher.

But there was one BIG problem.

My dusty, rusty fire extinguisher was maybe from 1995, crammed in the back of the cupboard under my sink and hadn’t been used EVER.

Every time I would see the fire extinguisher when I was under the sink grabbing a sponge or cleaning product, I’d always just sort of look at it and think:

“Will I ever need this? Do I need a new one? Nah.” and I’d continue on with what I was doing.

I guess I always just hoped it would work if I ever needed it. And boy was that dumb.

So as I grabbed the old dust covered extinguisher, I was struck by reality, and a petrifying thought shot through my head…

“What if it doesn’t work?”

But, it didn’t matter and I had to try. So I plowed through the cleaning product graveyard under my sink and grabbed the old extinguisher, aimed it at the fire and then…PFFFFTT.

Nothing. Just air and some foamy, fizzling sounds. I was totally screwed.

And that was probably the scariest moment of my life. Just standing there, my eyes darting looking for something to put this fire out.

I thought of my fiance sleeping upstairs, my toddler in her room, and my 3 cats. A giant fire could have been a catastrophe for not just my home, but also my family.

The Unexpected Hero

Then I remembered.

My grandpa had bought me this weird christmas gift awhile back. It was this fire blanket which of course I had no interest in at the time, but now seemed pretty darn useful.

I reached far into the back of the cupboard again, hoping it was still there, and YES. The fire blanket was shoved in the back next to where the extinguisher was.

I ripped it out of the bag, threw it over the fire, and then BOOM.

It went out like a light.

It was as if I had anti-fire superpowers or something, all that scrambling around panicking looking for something to put this fire out, and all I had to do was just *PLOP* and it’s out.

It was like a magic trick, but instead of a rabbit disappearing it was the fire that vanished.

I literally just threw the blanket over top, waited 5 seconds, and removed it to find nothing but a frying pan and some extremely overcooked bacon.

Thank god. I was saved. My family was saved. My house was saved.

After the incident I checked out the brand behind it, Prepared Hero.

Obviously my favorite product from them is their fire extinguishing blankets. They’re honestly the most genius replacement to old fire extinguishers because they never expire or “run out”. They’ll simply ALWAYS be ready to save your life.

But don’t get me wrong, I still have fire extinguishers in the house (new ones, I learned my lesson) just in case I need them for bigger fires.

But BIG fires start as SMALL fires, and being able to stop the fire immediately before it can spread is the most important thing you can do.

I guess the moral of the story is that this CAN happen to you even if you think it never will, and when it does, you better be ready.

I’m proud to say I literally bought like 5 more fire blankets from Prepared Hero. They’re so affordable anyway, especially compared to what they protect, like your home, your family, and your own life.

I figured for the same price as some groceries it was worth it being able to save my $700,000 house and potentially my own life and my family’s.

The best part of having these though is the peace of mind. I never catch a glimpse at the old extinguisher and get that little sinking gut feeling of “I hope this works one day when I need it”, because I know I ALWAYS have my Prepared Hero blankets.

If you read this far into my story, then I can probably assume you like to be prepared for danger too. If so, I actually have a special discount link to the same fire blanket that saved my life for 20% OFF if you want to use it. Just make sure to use the discount soon because the 20% OFF will expire (unlike the Prepared Hero fire blanket!).

Content Marketing: The Problem

Let’s face it. People these days have the attention span of a goldfish. Actually, they have less of an attention span (about 9 seconds for a goldfish and 8 seconds for a human). If you don’t hook your viewer within that time frame, you’ll most likely lose them. Big corporations with huge ad budgets know this, so they spend thousands of dollars to create ads that hook you in right from the start.

Admit it, you probably can’t look away when you see a Mcdonald’s ad.

My goal is to give other brands just as loud of a voice, especially brands that aim to make a difference in the world. I want to empower the little guys that need the viewers, customers, and subscribers that they deserve.

How do I Accomplish This?

I use the power of storytelling, lifestyle marketing, and emotional triggers in my content creation to securely hook viewers in those first 8 seconds. I couple this strategy with an emphasis on positive, upbeat, or humorous undertones, with just the right amount of seriousness depending on the brand.

What Can I Create?

  • -Riveting brand stories

  • -Documentaries

  • -Social media content

  • -Explainer videos

  • -Educational campaigns

  • -Training videos

  • -Online presentations

  • -Concept illustrations

  • -Motion graphics branding

  • -Infographics

  • -2D animation

  • -Storyboarding

My Promise

My years of training and experience allow me to provide highly professional work, but a lot of agencies can create high quality content too. It’s my emphasis on storytelling that really makes the difference in my content. I determine what your brand believes in, and then I create a campaign that tells your story using striking visuals, soundtracks, copywriting, and voice- over.

Above all, my content doesn’t just represent your business, it represents you.

Show em’ what you’re all about.

“Clean Slate” – Name Purification

Don’t freak out, but you might be cursed!

Ok, it’s more likely that you aren’t cursed. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t another form of bad energy wreaking havoc on you. Haven’t you been wondering why you’ve been feeling stressed, anxious, or depressed? And why traditional medicine, money, or material things don’t seem to really fix the problem?

It’s because there’s negative energy attached to you. More specifically, it’s attached to your name. Spooky, right? Even those that change their name in hopes of starting a new chapter in life will still have any negative energy from their old name hanging around them.

When I clear your name of negative energy, you will finally be able to:

-Attract new people in your life

-Feel like a weight has lifted off your shoulders

-Be inspired to try new things and embark on a new chapter in life

You might be skeptical, and I totally understand. This stuff sounds like fairy tale material to a lot of people. But if you’re truly stumped at this point why nothing you do seems to truly make you feel weightless, then maybe negative name energy really has been the problem all along.

You love your name. So just like you take care of your body, take care of it too.

“Clean Slate” – Home Purification

Home sweet home. After a stressful day at work, there’s no better place to finally relax and feel comfortable. So why not supercharge your home with positive energy?

Maybe there are areas of your home that have negative memories or emotions associated with them. Or maybe you’ve recently moved in somewhere and it still feels a bit uncomfortable. Your home needs to be your sanctuary; your safe haven. Without that, you may feel like you’re always running from negative energy with nowhere safe to escape to.

Similar to pests, mold, or other unseen dangers in a home, there are a potential 40+ detrimental phenomena that could currently exist in your home. Luckily for you, I can detect and get rid of all of them, even remotely.

After I cleanse your home, you will:

  • -Feel a calming energy throughout your home, helping you relax and sleep better
  • -Wake up feeling safe and optimistic so you’re motivated to tackle the rest of the day
  • -Provide a warm and inviting presence to any friends or family that visit

Warning! After a session, you’ll probably never want to leave home again, so you may become what some experts call a  “couch potato”. It’s advised that your Netflix and Hulu subscriptions are set up and ready to go.
