It all started with the "GMAT"

I desperately wanted my MBA. In order to even be accepted into my school's MBA program, however, I had to pass the dreaded GMAT: the final boss before business school.

My quantitative (mathematical portion) score was deplorable; somewhere around 75% of the country outperformed me. However, I ended up receiving the required score (thank god). I just barely made it by 10 points (out of 800). Why? I performed better than 95% of the country on the verbal section.

"Maybe I should give this writing thing a shot", I pondered.
